Nano Hacker Squad Fall 2014

The Nano Hacker Squad started as a pilot initiative by mentor Pedro Ha.

The focus is to mentor very tech-enthusiastic kids from CoderDojo NYC as a hackathon team, originally for the annual Young Rewired State (YRS) Hackathon Festival of Code. This year they competed in NYC BigApps.

Inspirational sources:

  • the hackathon building and learning model
  • Hacker Hours (for adults) that Aidan Feldman started in NYC few years ago
  • interests in facilitating collaborative learning web technologies for kids

They are currently running their program in collaboration with Iridescent, a science education non-profit with their location in the Bronx, NY to serve underrepresented youth.

The program is full for this year, but sign-up for our newsletter to hear about upcoming opportunities.
