Agile Youth Challenge
March 7th + April 19th
Location: Upper West Side, Bronx
Grades 6-12

The Agile Youth Challenge is a programming codeathon competition for students in grades 6-12, at any school, with any level of programming experience.

SEP Hackathon
March 21st-28th
Multiple Locations
High School Students

Ten SEP schools in all 5 boroughs will be participating in next month's weeklong Mobile Apps Edition event. The hackathon is expected to draw in more than 500 SEP students.

MOUSE Open Maker Night
March 26th
Location: Manhattan
High School Students

MOUSE periodically holds FREE, open Maker Nights for high schoolers! We provide the materials -- things like pipe cleaners, Arduinos, clay, breadboards, LEDs and sensors, MakerBot 3D printers, laptops, motors, hot glue guns, soldering equipment, craft supplies, and more -- and you provide the ideas and inventions!

NYC FIRST Robotics Competition
March 13th-15th
Location: Javits Center
Grades K-12

FIRST competitions and tournaments are celebrations by which communities convey the importance of their students’ achievements in science and technology.

hackBCA II Hackathon

High School Students

hackBCA II is one of the biggest high school hackathons in the nation! The purpose of this hackathon is to give high school students an easy way to learn how to code.

Spring PlayTech at Parsons

Come play and engage with new games and interactive multimedia projects from students, faculty and our like-minded friends in the industry. Hosted by Parsons SPACE and the School of Art, Media and Technology.

NYSCI STEM Night: Careers in Energy

STEM Night: Careers in Energy is part of a series of evening events for high school and college students where STEM experts will share stories about their work and career journeys.


2015 SpaceApps Challenge NYC

Come to the first ever space science and technology festival and conference - featuring exhibits, demonstrations, STEM educational programs.

Vidcode Teen Girl Hackathon
April 25th

Vidcode teaches girls computer programming online by enabling them to customize Instagram videos with code.

Make School Summer Academy

The Make School Summer Academy is designed to teach product development to high school and college students passionate about technology. Expand your knowledge of programming and ship your own original app to the App Store.

iD Tech Summer Camp Scholarship for Girls
Deadline: April 1st
Locations: NYC, across U.S.

This is your chance to create a digital movie, webpage, mobile app, video game, or other fun tech project. iD Tech Camps, held in 30 states nationwide, is a weeklong summer tech program for ages 7-17.

Flatiron Summer Academy
Multiple Dates
Locations: NYC, Austin, Boston, Chicago, Connecticut, London, Miami, San Francisco 
Ages 13-18

Flatiron summer provides students with two, four, six and eight week sessions to learn the fundamentals of programming, advanced app development, front-end web-design, and the ins-and-outs of startups.
